CLONEZILLA - Update your PC and back up your important files... then duplicate the drive to an external storage or another location. If you ever need to reset, you can restore it in just 10 minutes. Windows backups are slow and consume a lot of space. Clonezilla writes and restores in about 10 minutes each. I’m switching from an SSD to an external mechanical drive—I’ll never have to reinstall Windows again.
Pen and Paper is pretty awesome, especially if writing with a nice pen (LAMY fountain pens are just amazing for long essays). My main problem is that I am disorganized and OneNOte helps me solve that issue. Otherwise I would end up losing my notes or spend hours looking for them. It's just convenient for me, I guess. It's also pretty much impossible to get the grades needed to get into grad school without studying and note taking in my field, so yeah, that's not really an option lol.
What subject are you studying? You're enrolled in Networking Security courses now, and while you're only in the fourth semester with short 5-week semesters and two classes each term at ECPI online, you haven't relied much on notes yet. What you need most is practice with algebra so you can recall solving equations and similar problems for exams. You've never been a strong learner—high school was mostly A's on tests, while homework and projects were challenging. Right now you're taking College Algebra, Logic, and programming design (which covers basic logic, flowcharts, and pseudo-code without actual programming languages).
I'm studying my third year of analytic philosophy with an emphasis on metaethics, though my courses span philosophy of mind, epistemology, metaphysics, etc. For arts classes, taking notes is essential to maintain good grades. In the few computer science courses I took in college, that wasn't as crucial because you could usually access materials online and study independently, making it less demanding.
