After spending a lot of time saving, I’m planning to buy the Dell Inspiron 15 7559. As it’s my first PC with a real GPU, I’d love some game suggestions. Here are the specs: http://www.dell.com/uk/p/inspiron-15-755...559-laptop All recommendations would be appreciated.

You can enjoy any game on it, just at 4K with most running at 1080.

If you're just looking to play games and a desktop setup is available, it would give you better value for your budget.

You can enjoy a variety of titles on it, just as Wouterrinos mentioned. Here are some games I began with when my Toshiba Satellite was in poor shape (now upgraded). Team Fortress 2 – the one that sparked my interest in FPS games. Genres: First Person Shooter / Hat Simulator – free to play. Planetside 2 – first person shooter. Minecraft – if you're into that. Price: around $29.95 USD.

Actually, I didn’t mean to miss the point—I’d be using 1080p. I also understand that going for lower resolutions helps, but I was mainly aiming for solid alternatives so I could get comfortable with a keyboard and mouse before diving into competitive games like CSGO.

In that scenario I wouldn't understand the reason to skip starting with CS GO and practice makes perfect. Also, as @UGame_ mentioned, games such as Minecraft, Team Fortress 2 and Planetside 2 are excellent. You might also explore titles like GTA V, Max Payne 3, Dishonored and Assassin's Creed, which offer more narrative depth.
