Bad luck in CS:GO is tough to handle.
I had DMG at 61 wins, yet I managed to aim well but struggled with positioning and timing. As I improved, my game sense and movement got better until I reached LE at 80 wins. Then I hit LEM at 100. After that, things took a turn—I woke up after reaching LEM, went on CS, and saw a friend being hacked, which led to 11 games being removed. I was frustrated but accepted it since LEM was too tough for me. At one point, I struggled to win even one game, took four losses to earn LE, and then felt discouraged. Months later, I’m aiming to move from LE to LEM with 130 wins. Suddenly, it happened again—I got banned, had 9 games removed, played five more to win one, and realized I was DMG. Back to the beginning. This keeps happening; I’m considering quitting because I think my skill level is much higher than this. I’m upset and won’t play games with so many cheaters. The game really needs a ban, as cheaters dominate the lobbies. Should I try FACEIT or ESEA? How do ranks work and what are the game’s rules? It’s not MM, etc.—thanks for the info.
Early CS Go play: competitive form with 1 win and a draw, good teammates, supportive and friendly. In casual play with 12-year-olds, the vibe is energetic—Ragers, AFK, people competing and voting to challenge each other. The community feels active, with frequent matches every three rounds.
Don't wait in lines with hackers then? Otherwise, finding a match with them is pretty unlikely. You're more likely to connect with a smurf or a thrower instead. If you truly fit that level, you'll be there.
It seems this discussion is about a challenge level in a game, but the context refers to a specific region—likely outside Oceania. The difficulty there is probably greater than what players experience in local areas.
CSGO contains many cheaters, so you need to grasp that to succeed you must sharpen your reflexes and more. Most cheaters aim to stay undetected, pretending to play fairly while only gaining a slight edge early on. Many players enjoy shouting "ESEA ESEA ESEA" and this trend exists since time immemorial. However, even ESEA faces cheating issues, and the clients used for it are questionable. Still, when it comes to ESEA, cheaters usually try to remain hidden, which is where your improvement will matter most. Keep practicing a lot. And remember, the game has way more smurfs than cheaters, so getting beaten doesn’t necessarily mean someone is cheating—it could just be that they’re stronger in other areas like Supreme or Global play. Don’t lose hope if you love the game; just keep working hard.
