Is there a backup restore option that avoids sending information back to itself in backup software? It appears some programs do this; others don’t. I’ve used Paragon with limited success—it seems to be disappearing. Right now, I’m trying RescueZilla, which is tricky with source and destination settings. There might be simpler tools like Windows 7 backup that were easier for less tech-savvy users. Anomei worked well before it started to lose functionality.

Macrium Reflect meets your needs as required. Your current system configuration is entirely up to you. Some forum members have shared their backup arrangements: https://forums. I also maintain a backup setup, though it’s not highly complex or automated. I use manual disk clones with Samsung Magician because all my drives are Samsung. For the data drive, I simply copy and paste. My setup includes: - On the PC: OS drive, OS drive backup (bootable, second boot option in BIOS), data drive, and a 1:1 clone of the data drive for offline backup. - Additionally, I have 1:1 bootable clones of the OS drive kept offline as a safety measure. - I also have 1:1 data drive clones stored offline, kept in the cupboard.

Aeacus appreciates the message. I currently use Macrium 8 but prefer not to subscribe. I discovered a highly recommended alternative that I would share if given the chance.
