Background wallpaper vanished?
I'm really confused about this. I'll keep an eye on how it turns out. If the problem keeps happening and matches what I saw, it could just be a temporary glitch in the system.

Found a Reddit thread. It has more details and seems pretty similar to my experience.
In short, after the crash, Windows might have changed the background color to black. Not sure why.

Black background is the standard setting for Windows because of a previous system reset by automatic restore after a crash, which typically occurs. It seems the change was simply to black. It's crucial this isn't due to hardware issues. It might be too late now, but have you considered using an earlier restore point that was created? Restore points are retained for 10 days when the oldest one is deleted.
