Preparation: System includes Gigabyte B660M DS3H DDR4, Intel i5 12400, INNO3D RTX 3070ti GPU, CoolerMaster MWE GOLD 750 power supply, and a fully modular setup. Not an expert. Before the problem started, the PC was off, the PSU switch was off, the power cable was removed, and the PSU and monitor cables were unplugged from the wall. I opened the case, reattached the fans, undid the screws holding the PSU, pushed it out carefully, then reinstalled without disconnecting anything. After reassembly, connecting the PSU and monitor caused a small spark—probably due to an angle during insertion. The PC started up normally, fans functioned, though there was some noise. I reviewed many similar posts but mostly encountered audio/headphone issues. The sound was similar when only the power cable was connected; it became louder and turned into beeping when moving the mouse (heard in the video). During troubleshooting, I disconnected everything I touched, removed the PSU, verified all connections were tight, and switched outlets. Reason for change: I wanted to upgrade my fan system, so I checked the number of fan connectors in the case and used an AntecDF600 hub to save CPU fan connectors—though it only worked for RGB with no speed control, which didn’t help much. It's just normal coil whine, no cause for worry.

I felt uneasy about this choice. My sensitivity makes me easily affected by unexpected sounds. I rebuilt the PC entirely to see if the noise would become less obvious, though it might still be noticeable when moving the mouse. Perhaps it’s just because I now realize it exists. Is there really nothing I can do? It doesn’t seem like a fixable issue through grounding or maybe a loose wire?

Uncertain about the issue—it's usually just a mix of hardware problems. I had a motherboard that made loud noises with a certain PSU; both components were noisy. Changing the board resolved the problem, including audio output. It’s possible the PSU could have fixed it too. In your situation, it’s hard to tell which part is causing the noise. I also used a compact PC for routing and moved it to another room, which made things worse. My surround receiver whines when it’s off but is usually quiet when far away (though the room was narrow). Several GPUs are making similar sounds.
