B550i USB chipset issues often involve slow or unstable connections.
Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a persistent problem on my Aorus B550I Pro AX Rev 1.1 motherboard that runs an AMD Ryzen 5600X. My USB ports are extremely slow, often throttling down to zero, and they sometimes disconnect completely. When copying files, the transfer speed fluctuates between 8MB/s and zero, and devices will suddenly drop out. I've checked various solutions—updating the BIOS didn't help, changing PCIE to Gen3 also failed. Have others experienced this issue? Any known fixes or recommendations? Or should I keep reaching out to Gigabyte support? Thanks in advance!
Ensure the latest BIOS update is installed and check all motherboard drivers from Gigabyte's support site. When faced with problems after drivers and BIOS are unavailable, options include replacing the board or using an RMA card—though this isn't possible with ITX boards. In my experience, a client chose replacement or RMA because it fell within the return window or warranty. If you can still use the return period or warranty, I suggest proceeding that way; otherwise, consider a new board.
It seems the issue persists even after a clean Windows setup, suggesting a hardware replacement might be necessary.
