For non-gaming needs, B450 works well. When gaming, PCIe 4.0 isn't necessary.
DMI 4 won't do you alot B450 for the most will most likely support zen 3 If you need a system right now just go for b450 If you can wait for b550 that won't be bad either
It varies by board choice. The MSI B450 Tomahawk Max adds one more CPU generation, while the B550 offers additional support. I’m unsure if any other B450 models besides the Max line from MSI will receive updated BIOS for next-gen Ryzen CPUs. The B550 is pricier and won’t significantly alter much else.
