Consider which model suits your needs best. The B550 is affordable at 199USD, while the X570 costs 265USD but offers more features. Since you mainly use it for gaming and have a 3700X CPU, the X570 provides better performance options beyond just PCIe 4 slots.

More PCIe 4.0 M.2 ports available, and SLI is still possible.

If you skip the additional 4.0 slots, would you prefer the B550 instead?

That's the key distinction—there are minor variations, yet most users aren't too concerned. Spoiler: https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3582-...x470-zen-3

The X570 model includes Wi-Fi 6 and a more efficient VRM. If Wi-Fi isn't necessary, the B550 works well. You might also consider the budget-friendly B550-A PRO.
