Do you believe there will be comparable VRMs or something better than the B450? I'm setting up a Ryzen 5 3600X and the X570 boards are really pricey, especially for ITX builds. The B450 options are limited—Aorus Pro 4+2 phases, ROG Strix 6+1 phases—and the ROG model is quite expensive at $185, while the Aorus Pro is cheaper at $130.

Possibly superior to basic X570 models though—we’ll find out. My prediction is that B550 will maintain PCIe 4.0 lanes on slots feeding directly from the CPU, while the internal chipset only offers PCIe 3.0. That means these boards should feature just one PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 port and one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, with everything else using PCIe 3.0. On the flip side, it won’t require active cooling, which should please those who prefer quiet operation.

In the past month there haven't been any leaks emerging. When discussing ITX boards, B550 isn't necessarily superior to B450. These boards are extremely compact, making it impossible to fit enough MOSFETs into VRMs without increasing cost and performance issues. Likewise, high-end X chipset boards can't expand their VRM size because that would require more space on the PCB. As a result, B chipset ITX boards should be priced similarly to X chipset variants, except possibly for A chipset models if they appear later. Still, weaker options like the Gigabyte B450 ITX board could emerge.

Sufficient for the 3600, though the 8-core needs adequate airflow (per ITX guidelines). Skipping the more power-hungry options like 12-core or the second-gen 8-core.
