Hey everyone, I’m a new member here and just set up my account after Black Friday. I got a MSI B550-A Pro board and was expecting to use it with an R5 5600. The CPU installation went through, but I can’t boot it. I tried updating the BIOS to version 7C56vA9 from MSI, which claims compatibility with the 5600, but the CPU LED still stays on. My GPU is a RX 6650XT. Anyone have any tips or steps to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

MSI has experienced some BIOS issues lately, including the removal of Zen 2 compatibility. The flashback might not work with 5000-series models. Older B550 units typically had support but weren't released with a matching BIOS. The correct BIOS version is crucial in this situation.

Sure, I gave it a shot with the flashback, but it seems the issue might be more serious than just a temporary glitch. The CPU could be down for good.
