The title clearly states your intent. You're checking about M.2 SSD storage and its possible impact on SATA ports. With only two drives installed, you're concerned about any potential restrictions. The manual doesn't specify which ports might be affected, so it's wise to verify. If you need help, I can look up the support section for details. For recommendations, a 500GB SSD would work well—let me know!

Your budget for the SSD is clear—let me know if you need help with that. You mentioned you’re thinking about using it for the operating system or mainly for gaming?

I've been running Windows 10 on an HDD for a long time now, and I'm starting to feel pretty frustrated with it. I created a discussion about this earlier, but my goal is to upgrade to a fresh Windows 10 install on the new M.2 drive, use it for gaming, and just wipe out what's left of Windows on my old HDD.

Consider updating with a new setup. A solid recommendation is the KVzkcf XPG SX8200 512GB M.2 SSD (ASUS X570P). For a more budget-friendly option, look at a Kingston A2000 or a Crucial MX500 SATA drive.
