I am building a PC and bought the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max. I also got the Ryzen 7 3700x and the RTX 2080ti. My main question is if the board can handle it? Board is okay. What's that computer for? It could work with less power, a 650W unit would be ideal, it's more than sufficient. I wouldn't purchase the 2080 Ti right now because Nvidia might release new cards soon.

Looking into the future, I’m considering upgrading my power supply. I think it’s wise to wait for the new cards, though everyone seems eager to get one. I saw a video by Jazs2cents suggesting the RTX 2080ti could run out if demand spikes with the new 3000 series. I also need a PC now, possibly this year or next. Rumors say cards might be released later this year or next. Everything hinges on the coronavirus situation.

Nah, stick with 650. This system won't even go near that as is, you have plenty of room. Only reason you would is because of dual gpu's, but there's no reason to do so if this build is simply for gaming - which still hasn't been specified Understand your gpu predicament though.

It depends on what you're comparing. If the 850 is a specific number, keeping it might still be relevant.

That's simply wasteful spending.

It functions well with the Tomahawk, though choosing B450 seems unusual given the budget. I’d also consider the RM650x instead, opting for a cheaper SSD like Sabrent Rocket, Adata SX8200 Pro, or HP EX920/950, and a more open case such as the Meshify C from Fractal.

The problem is that I have most of the parts, just waiting for the CPU and the fans. My main concern is if everything will work and not overheat, and also so that I can have the PC working for 2+ years with no problems.
