You're considering expanding your B450m setup with more RAM, but there are some points to weigh. The B450 board can handle multiple sticks, though performance may vary depending on the configuration and motherboard design. Adding another 2x8GB stick could boost performance, especially with dual-channel support from your Ryzen 5000s. However, some sources suggest that B450 boards might not be ideal for heavy multi-stick setups. It's worth checking current reviews or forums to confirm compatibility before proceeding.

The dual channel setup only supports two RAM sticks, not four. The two available slots are correct, and quad channel may slightly increase latency, though I'm uncertain about the 5900X. They should still function in dual channel mode.

It should function properly. You already have a dual channel setup, so adding four sticks will provide two ranks per channel, enhancing performance in certain applications.

Placing four RAM sticks in a B450 board enables dual-channel operation. Quad-channel performance is available only on platforms that support it, such as the X299 with LGA2066 socket.
