The computer has been acting strangely lately, freezing without any error screen. When you press the NumPad, the indicator on your keyboard stays the same. After freezing, the mouse disappears from view and you experience strange audio in your headphones. This keeps happening repeatedly, requiring a manual restart just to get back online.

It began following a specific incident you remember. Possible triggers might include intense gaming sessions or heavy resource usage.

I don’t remember any major incident affecting this. However, I notice your HDD usage reaches 100% in Task Manager whenever you start booting, whether you’re playing games, updating drivers, or even during BIOS setup.

If you replace the SSD and move your Windows installation, the problem should be resolved.

I wouldn't be so confident. I'd start by reviewing the SMART values to look for supporting details.

I recommend trying to borrow a hard drive from someone first. Of course, you'll need to reinstall the drivers, but it's not too complicated. We're in agreement on this. HDTune would pair well with a check for dead sectors, or CrystalDiskInfo could help. I should mention that my drive had the same problem despite all SMART values being normal.

Sure, the SMART values offer some clues, though they don’t guarantee a definitive diagnosis. I’ve experienced similar freezing problems, but they stemmed from missing WiFi card drivers, which didn’t seem connected to the issue at first.
