I no longer enjoy solo gaming. I stick to multiplayer with friends. Counter-Strike:GO, Payday2, Space Engineers, Borderlands are my favorites. I still like those, mostly because of the social experience. I can also play a few games without end; XCOM and Dark Souls are among them.

I'm 26 and experienced this about four years ago. I can only play FPS games like BF3 for a short time, around an hour or two. Once I get a better graphics card, I think I'll try Dragon Age and hope it's something I enjoy. It feels like getting older—other things come to the forefront. But I'm just as eager to dive into a game as anyone else.

It's not necessarily a negative thing. You seem to have changed your mind about it. It's okay to shift your interests over time. Just remember, not everyone plays games all the time. Keep enjoying what you like!

Explore a niche genre you haven’t tried yet, like a turn-based strategy title (XCOM) or a dark fantasy RPG (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance). As you dive into varied experiences across different types of games, your enjoyment will grow. Eventually, you’ll find something truly engaging on Steam.

Start coding, build a career in tech, and balance family life. It’s been effective for me now that I have no spare time left for gaming.

Its happens to everyone from time to time, nothing wrong with taking a break from it.

Taking breaks helps. When you're ready to stop this mess, seek something engaging—like a solid RPG or MMO (do they really exist?).
