You can disable it, but the picture quality will be affected (look at Leon's hair) and performance will be lost until you restart the game. Still, the 3070 in use can run the game smoothly with maximum RT at 1440P plus an additional 40% downsampling for better image quality, maintaining over 60 FPS without any FSR in that area. VRam limits in RE2 have never been precise in the graphics tab, and it doesn't clarify why reducing settings has no impact.

I’ve noticed this pattern before. My 2080 has only 8 gigabytes left, yet it runs smoothly without any problems even when the game warns me it’s too low.

FSR 1.0 is a messy mess, and most people avoid it. It's particularly problematic in HZD. FSR 2.0, on the other hand, offers real value, though only a few titles have it. I’m really hoping it arrives soon at ACC, since it desperately needs a performance upgrade.
