On this device, W7 Ultimate is running some outdated services that are no longer supported. I’m not just ignoring them—my goal is to eliminate them completely. Ghostbuster and Device Remover tools can locate and delete those ghost drivers. Ran GB, learned how to remove drivers (showing only the ones not attached). After a few attempts at removing test drivers, they all came off successfully. Rebooted, but they remained. Used Device Remover, which confirmed the drivers were marked as removed. Reboot again, still found them. These aren’t Microsoft drivers, and after rebooting, no drivers auto-restore. I have full admin privileges. Each program worked in safe mode while running with admin rights, but removal failed. Anyone have suggestions on how to proceed? Thank you.

Placebo effect at play—your perception improves without any real change. The absence of the substance doesn’t hurt; it’s just your mind responding.
