I’ve set up three Steam accounts and recently switched from Windows 10 to Windows 7. After reinstalling, I realized signing back in could trigger a trade ban since I reinstalled Steam. My issue is with a CS:GO game on one account that my friend lent me for a short time. I’m worried about losing it if I can’t return it within a week after logging in again. Can I avoid getting banned? Should I reach out to Steam support or use another account from family sharing to prove ownership?

It would violate Steam's guidelines and could lead to a suspension.

Would you like to check if contacting them before logging in could affect the trade ban?

Steam Support usually responds within a day, so a week delay seems unlikely. It might be part of their standard process.

Are you referring to a seven-day limit on trading since accessing it from a different system?

It's the identical setup again, but I just put Steam back in.

The support process for Valve allows you to have your restrictions removed quicker than they respond to your request.

Great suggestions, I'm confident the fraudsters will value them.
