I'm just beginning with Don't Starve using Reign of Giants. It's significantly tougher than before. Workshop mods like Health Reg and cooked foods don't make much difference. Still, it's challenging. My longest session was 18 days after replaying. What mods do other players use?

I believe utility modifications such as combined status are extremely helpful, yet adjustments aimed at simplifying the game could hinder your progress. I try a mod named Casket, which offers a craftable object you can add to your inventory and holds a large quantity of items.

I avoid making too many changes to the Mods. If the game isn't fun, that's not a good outcome.

Additionally, the game becomes significantly simpler once you master the basics.

I usually build a unique world, but sometimes I accidentally boost the spider count or add a monstrous creature without realizing it. Even starting a long winter by accident is tough... Especially when using Spear.

Spear isn't the best choice. Opt for Dark Sword or Ham Bat when they're unavailable.

It's easy to feel swamped sometimes? What really takes the edge off? Mobs? Armor?

Collect sufficient materials to craft armor and reliable weapons, while also attempting to open the necessary tabs—it's quite frustrating. The Mushroom Trees are great because they supply both logs and mushroom caps.
