Do you have the PC ready? If yes, just start the game... It should run smoothly at around 60fps. What specific CPU are you using?

Lowering the setting actually worsens the issue, causing bigger FPS fluctuations. Just use 1080p high.

It seems like the CPU is causing a performance issue. My i5 2500k at 4.6Ghz with 4 threads is struggling. If you're determined to run it, consider upgrading the CPU and motherboard. For those on a tighter budget, opt for an AM3 board or look for a second or third generation i7. A powerful 8150 should handle it much better than this APU. Since it's still using DDR3, keep your RAM; you should be able to find an older high-end CPU and motherboard for less than 100 pounds.

You want 4 cores, minimum. What motherboard do you have? I have had plenty of Am3 systems over the years, it really is an underappreciated platform at the higher end.

BD doesn't offer much improvement in speed for light games. It uses the same design and needs hard-to-find motherboards to achieve higher clock rates.
