Bitdefender offers a lightweight antivirus solution that runs smoothly without slowing down your computer and provides strong protection most of the time. It also avoids intrusive pop-ups.
You’re unsure about the contents of that Avast link, but you received a malware warning. Avast performs well compared to other antivirus programs, and I also have the Pro edition, which I received for being a three-year user. Avira scores higher in tests, though I haven’t used it myself.
