It's always helpful to expand our knowledge, it keeps things interesting. I've worked with DD-WRT and tomato for years, yet recently modern routers seem sufficient. However, when I'm looking for a replacement, I'll probably be impressed by OpnSense.

If I hadn’t started with pfSense, I’d likely switch to OpnSense. People say its interface is simpler, but in the end, the most straightforward option is the one you’re familiar with, so learning a new system doesn’t make sense unless it meets your needs.
