You should wait. The system is stuck on a blue screen, which usually means the repair process isn't proceeding correctly. Trying to refresh now won't help if it's already failed.

I also experienced this before. For me, it started working properly.

I recall that experience when I initially assembled my PC and pushed overclocking too far, causing issues. A complete reinstall resolved the problem. I’m unsure if you’d consider doing the same.

I’d rather not have to reinstall everything, but if it’s the only choice I’ll go for it. I mainly have around 600GB of games, though that’s the extent.

It's frustrating to have to redownload, particularly when you hit your data limit. I recommend looking for alternatives or reaching out to Windows support—just be prepared for possible delays.

You might use an additional HDD to avoid downloading all the games. Just let Windows fix itself unless it’s slow, then boot from a Windows installation disk and start the repair process.

He mentioned a situation where someone had AHCI set in the BIOS, ensuring IDE or SCSI was turned off. An overclocked 970 caused Windows to crash, requiring a full reinstall after five hours of troubleshooting.

Attempt to recover Windows using the install media. You'll find two choices: startup recovery and a previous restore point (or one you're certain was functional). If neither works, proceed with a fresh installation. Your files remain safe if the storage space allows. This method helps preserve your settings.
