I understand many questions about the distinction between genuine and pirated Windows. The main issue isn't just performance or features, but security and trust. Using pirated versions can expose your system to malware, data theft, and other risks. Microsoft supports both cracked and genuine products, though the latter often includes telemetry for updates. Taking Steam as an example, even if you use a cracked account, it limits access to certain servers and may affect stability. The real difference lies in safety and reliability—genuine Windows is safer and more dependable.

First rule, avoid saying anything about downloading files on chat rooms. It’s usually your colleague who did it. No help from Microsoft Support If you’re dealing with inactive Windows versions, don’t add custom themes or backgrounds. That’s all.

You're asking if the issue persists even after using the troubleshooting steps in the Action Center. It seems the connection problems continue despite those attempts.

Essentially, all troubleshooters should function, but you won't be able to reach MS support for issues claiming the product won't work. You might still try, though you'd likely face a fine in your mail after some time.

you also see a nice message at the bottom right indicating your Windows isn't activated. this notice remains visible in certain games. while it's not a major issue by itself, if you plan to stream or record your gameplay to impress others online—depending on how you capture it—the text might be included with your video, making it clear that you're a pirate.
