I have an older Onkyo receiver and I'm using an HDMI cable to connect my sound processing device. My PC identifies it as a monitor, but I want to run it through a pass-through. Since the unit is outdated and I'm using a 1440P 240Hz HDR display via DisplayPort, I need a way to send audio directly to the receiver without it thinking it's a monitor. Would using the built-in HDMI onboard be a solution? I'm running a standard motherboard without any optical or digital audio outputs and have a 3070 Ti GPU.

I'm facing the same problem. I've been using a video setting at 480p for audio, and after moving the display to be above my monitor, it's uncommon for software to work properly. Any suggestions would be really helpful.
