For over six months, I’ve experienced this perplexing issue. It began in 2019 when watching YouTube or Twitch streams, I encounter intermittent audio glitches—a brief stuttering effect lasting approximately one second—without any video lag. Initially, I suspected a hardware problem with my previous computer. However, after upgrading to a new PC, the issue persisted, even with stable frame rates and low latency. The problem extends beyond streaming; I also experience audio stutters and a delayed sensation in games like League of Legends, despite maintaining a consistent ping of 40ms. Within the game, my character’s actions—such as using abilities Q/W—are frequently delayed by around half a second, creating a choppy, sluggish experience that feels akin to playing in slow motion. This significantly impacts my gameplay and is incredibly frustrating, especially considering my system’s capabilities.
I've attempted numerous troubleshooting steps, researching forums and seeking assistance through tickets—all without success. I’ve replaced peripherals like keyboards, mice, and headphones, as well as upgrading my computer entirely. My internet connection is robust, achieving speeds of 100Mbps and consistently stable, as evidenced by the lack of similar audio issues when viewing videos on my iPhone over the same Wi-Fi network. Furthermore, I’m utilizing an Ethernet cable for a secure connection. I've updated audio drivers, BIOS/chipsets, and NVIDIA graphics drivers, even experimenting with older settings, but the problem remains. I’ve performed a clean Windows installation, yet it continues on both my older Windows 10 Pro machine and my newer Windows Enterprise system – a situation that began in Windows 7. Temperatures are within normal ranges, and I've run benchmarks (see attached userbenchmark result).
