I've experienced this problem with my laptop for nearly five years. Recently, I began using speakers more often, which has made the issue even more bothersome. I'm now looking for assistance. The audio port doesn't produce any sound when I power on after sleep, yet the system detects a connection and switches to the internal speakers. Restarting resolves the issue instantly. I've included a DxDiag file showing the system state during this time, with speakers connected but no output. It seems the old system state (S0) doesn't support sleep, possibly transitioning to S3. Thank you for reading this. DxDiagSound.txt
Edit: Following a suggestion, I tested the single audio out port. Previously, I only used the combined headset port, which worked after a fresh start but not after sleep. The single audio out works post-sleep; combined doesn't seem to help in my case. This seems to solve my problem.
