I recently changed from a 5600 to a 5700X3D, but the audio only functions on the left side of my headset. It seems distorted—when I adjust balance settings and increase the right channel, the left headphone volume rises even without touching it. I’m using 7.1 Surround sound, and testing only the left (L) channel produces sound, while all other channels (right, center, etc.) are missing. Using another pair of headphones gives the same issue. I’ve reinstalled my 5600, but the same problem persists with both monitors and Galaxy Buds2 via Bluetooth. My next move is to reinstall Windows, though I’d like your thoughts on this.

What are your observations? Could this be a built-in audio issue on the motherboard? Is it related to drivers or Windows? Feel free to share any details you think might help.

It looks like an issue with the rear audio ports has been detected. Inserting the headphones into the front panel jack resolved the problem completely. It seems modifying the CPU caused the rear ports to stop working. Either I’m careless or something unexpected happened.
