I'm experiencing audio problems where certain sounds aren't clear in my games. For instance, in Rocket League I can't hear my car or those behind me, in Call of Duty I miss gunshots and other noises, and in Spider-Man I can't pick up character dialogue or the fighting sounds are very faint. I've attached a video of the Spider-Man game to illustrate the issue.

Honestly, I've faced that issue in that game from time to time, though rarely. The last time it happened, I reloaded the last checkpoint and it still didn't work. It seemed like the Miles' dialogue wasn't functioning properly. I should try that test next time it occurs, since many people have already reported similar bugs with this game, and it just became available.

I reloaded the check points several times, but I'll continue trying... My system has an RTX 2080TI, and I initially thought the issue was with the driver. I checked the Windows driver settings and confirmed everything was up to date. Then I visited the Nvidia website to search for updates, which resolved the problem on my WZ2 model. However, the issue resurfaced. I also downloaded the WZ2 version on my laptop, and it worked perfectly, providing a noticeable improvement.

Driver issues can result from just corrupted installs too, so make sure you run DDU in safe mode to uninstall the old ones, before installing the new ones.
As far as the laptop vs the desktop, I'm not inclined to believe there's anything to that unless your desktop needs a firmware update for the MB's onboard audio or sound card, whichever you use.
