Following is the post I wrote on Razer forums that was ignored, so I am reposting it here to see if anyone else is interested in helping. Please do not reply with razer products suck; if anyone thinks this is a defect, sure, but please keep down the ranting. I have bought a cabled Kraken V3 Hypersense last year late November, and I uses it on my Razer Blade 17 which I purchased in September. I works great in all other ways, except for when it makes screeching noises randomly. It is most likely to make this noise when my laptop is underload, but it happens most frequently when I have a sound recording software open such as Discord, OBS, or even the windows sound settings. Here are the list of things I did to try to fix it: -Reinstalling synapses (didn't keep the logs, sorry, willing to reinstall again tho) -Reinstalling audio and usb drives -Switching usb ports -Unplugging the detachable mic -Trying on a different computer (mac, did not crackle, but I also didn't open a sound recording software or test extensively, my Razer laptop never crackled before with audio jack headsets tho) -Using a powered usb hub -Attaching a ferrite bead to the cable -Disabling exclusive mode, audio enhancements, and unused audio devices in windows sound settings -Waiting for new windows update The following video have some samples I recorded using an external mic placed in the ear cups (the noises cannot be recorded from within the laptop using software.) I was playing a moderately intensive game while being on Discord at the same time; all the noises were captured within the span of an hour, occurring 5-10 minutes apart. I have not been able to find specific cases and noises like these anywhere else. If anyone can help fix this problem, it would be great, and I hope this may also be of help to anyone with the same problem.

It looks like erratic signals or feedback, appearing in fragments. Digital correction managing analog issues? Under load it might indicate software misalignment due to excessive waiting states. Analog operates differently from digital. Does the device use a cable? If so, does it move freely without obstruction? If not, is it wireless? Possible interference from radio sources. Certain microphones need batteries; a low battery could be the cause.

Hello, sorry for the delayed response. The headset uses a USB connection and doesn’t rely on battery power; you can find it here: https://www.razer.com/gaming-headsets/Ra...70100-R3U1. I suspect the sounds aren’t caused by cord movement since they occur even when stationary. I’ve tried cleaning the cord and touching different parts, but no noise was produced, suggesting the issue isn’t with the cable or static buildup. The noises seem more frequent under heavy laptop usage, though Discord alone can trigger them. I haven’t explored digital or analog settings, but checking laptop latency in tutorials hasn’t revealed problems. If you want, I can share a link to a Razer Blade 17 review for reference. One extra note: the screech appears more noticeable when background audio is loud, and it seems to diminish if all sound stops. Have you tried updating Windows 10’s sound settings or upgrading to Windows 11? Let me know your thoughts.

USB lacks a direct analog audio path, meaning the signal must shift to a digital format. The headset likely contains a DAC, and whatever issue exists is either with the digital conversion or within the headset itself.

I explored information about DAC and audio interference. A USB isolator might help reduce issues.

He gazes with his lower lip hanging out. …Well, I've never come across anything like this before, but that doesn't matter. Are they inexpensive? If so, you could simply give it a shot and find out the outcome.

A few options seem unusually low-cost while others sit near the $90 mark. I plan to look for a budget-friendly choice on aliexpress. Some users claim it reduces obvious noise and boosts audio clarity, whereas others have run tests and seen no improvement. I’m really interested and a bit anxious, so I’ll give it a shot and let you know if it’s effective. Keep in mind shipping could be slow.

The isolator didn't function properly, especially the $10 model. Several replies on the Razer forum indicate similar issues with the headset, suggesting a possible manufacturing defect. One user is currently collaborating with Razer support, and changing headphones didn't resolve the problem. I'll keep this thread open until they reach a decision. Thanks for your assistance—feel free to share any other thoughts or solutions.

Thanks for bringing this up again. I understand it's an older discussion, but I found these headsets matching your description and reproducing the same audio as your video. I've tried various fixes so far, but haven't had any luck. Have you managed to resolve the issue? @BoomBoomMan

Unfortunately, no. The mod on the razer forum closed the thread months ago, and asked people to private message them. I have also receive more comments on my video saying the problem persisted even after they switched to new ones, further convincing me this is a hardware design failure. I myself have not private messaged the mod, but if you want to give it a try, here is the link to the thread: https://insider.razer.com/index.php?thre...ost-807193
