Setting up your first rig with a Ryzen 7 2700, 16GB RAM, B450 AORUS PRO WIFI and using Blue Snowball Ice as your mic is a solid choice. Have anyone experienced problems with this mic in Ubuntu 18.04-based distributions like Kubuntu or Mint 19?

Usb microphones typically use a common usb audio codec. My behringer umc22 was installed smoothly on linux after pulseaudio added a standard codec. I haven’t tested the snowball ice yet, but it should work similarly.
