Hi everyone! I’m using an HP Pavilion 15 that’s experiencing BSODs with Windows. I decided to switch to Ubuntu (Mint) to see if it helps. The speakers feel much quieter and tinny compared to the fuller sound on Windows. I’ve looked online for fixes but haven’t found a clear solution yet. I tried adjusting PulseAudio settings and tweaking EQ, but it doesn’t seem to be the main issue. It seems like only one speaker—likely the center channel—is being used, possibly excluding others like the laptop subwoofer or other speakers. I’ve also tested different Linux distros (PopOS, Elementary, Ubuntu) without success. Even booting from a thumb drive on another Lenovo laptop didn’t help. Anyone have any suggestions? I’m really enjoying Linux but this sound problem is frustrating. Thanks!
