attempting to upgrade the Ryzen 5 2600
i attempted to clock my 5 2600 to 3.9ghz at 1.35v and achieved around 76.6c on cinebench. then i tried 1.325v but it didn’t work, so i went with 3.8ghz which got me to 1.3v, though the temperatures remain unchanged. i’m unsure what voltage to use since running prime95 causes cpu temps to exceed 80c within about 30 seconds.
A B450a Pro MAX isn't suitable for pushing a 2600 beyond its limits. The lack of heatsinks on the VRM FETs means they'll overheat rapidly, resulting in poor performance and instability when under stress.
A B450a Pro MAX isn't suitable for overclocking beyond 2600. The VRM FETs lack heatsinks, leading to rapid overheating and poor power output. It becomes very unstable when under stress.
