My friend had an outdated computer that wasn’t in use, so I installed Windows 10 using a USB ISO. Before that, it ran Windows 7. I formatted the drive with the tools on the ISO and started the installation. The process worked initially but then I received a warning about incorrect load order. When trying to boot via the Windows Boot Manager, it failed. After inserting the drive into my computer, I opened Disk Utility to check if I could resolve the problem. The first image showed three partitions: a 101MB empty space, an EFI partition, and the remaining drive space. I’m having trouble combining them, especially the 100MB section, which seems to be the problem. Did I damage this old drive?
The 7->10 upgrade failed? Try a manual wipe of all partitions and reformatting to GPT to fix it.
