I own a laptop that I haven't installed Windows 7 on myself. It seems the main issue is finding the right USB drivers for the installer. Depending on the model, the processor might not be officially supported by MS/Win7, which could mean updates need some workarounds. My Kaby Lake should handle it fine, though the 100 series chipset works without problems. Installing it on another system and transferring it would likely be straightforward, though activating it might be tricky. Many people probably dislike this process, but it functions well for me, even when switching from Intel to AMD.

This approach works well for most people facing issues with setting up systems on their own computers.

I need your assistance here, as I’ve had trouble with USB setup using CSM on and off with GPT UEFI USB and GPT fat32, which caused errors. With MBR UEFI CSM, only the USB appears instead of the hard drive. Someone could modify the drivers and I’d appreciate it if you could help stream them into the installation. Also, I’m trying this in a dual-boot setup.

It's not an easy process, but the simplest option is to set it up on a comparable system and transfer the drive.

I think it's best to keep using Windows 8 since it functions well on that version.

It seems you had to find a SATA RAID driver and then manage the installation.
