I should start by sharing the complete story. I installed Linux Mint on my Alienware R13, which used Windows 11. Now I’m facing many problems and want to go back to Windows. I don’t want the issues of Windows 11 anymore—I’d prefer Windows 10 instead. The problem is that Linux doesn’t support the Windows installation media, so I have to use Ventoy as an alternative. I reached the Windows 10 setup screen but it’s asking for drivers to keep the install going. Do you know which drivers work with my Alienware R13 and how to install them? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

It looks like you're facing a complicated setup issue. Your current Windows version might not support your hardware, and Windows 10 could be outdated for your needs. You might need help from alienware support. Even if they only provide .exe files, they can still work with the right driver files from their site. Alternatively, you could try installing Windows 11, copy the drivers to a USB drive, reinstall Windows 10, and then apply those drivers. If this is too complex, Kubuntu might be a better option for you.

I've checked all the available drivers and they aren't listed as options.

Thank you for your patience. I didn’t get a notification about this thread. Have you placed the driver files in a specific folder? If yes, it might be a mismatch—feel free to contact tech support on Alienware for assistance. Unfortunately, I can’t assist further without more options. You could also try installing Kubuntu or Bazzite.
