Attempting to set up W10 Pro
Hi! You can try using a USB drive with the W10 Pro ISO file and boot from it. Make sure your laptop supports UEFI and that you have the correct BIOS settings enabled. If it still doesn’t detect the key, check the USB connection or try a different USB port.
Use the Pro key on the Windows Home activated device, usually it will refresh the system and then need a reboot.
With W10 home, updating the key is straightforward via the Pro version. The installation process remains identical, but feature toggles control what appears.
You would insert the key into the designated slot or opening.
You would insert it into Windows as a DSP license, and you’re familiar with the details.
Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Modify product key
It didn't work. I believe the DSP license won't apply since it requires new hardware. I'll need to reset the device.
You modified the bootable flash configuration during startup to enable Pro.
