so I'm trying to reset my computer and delete everything. i go to settings>recovery>get started it starts resetting but at about 30% it says undoing changes then i get a popup saying "there was a problem resetting your pc no changes were made." ive tried multiple times same outcome. Any ideas?

Connect the hard drive to another machine. Run disk management to wipe the data there. If that option fails, launch a command prompt and enter "diskpart", then format the drive using the commands provided.

I’m using my OS on an HDD since I recently replaced my SSD. I’m attempting to wipe everything before installing the new system.

Set up Windows on the SSD while the hard drive is disconnected, after which proceed with the erase steps you shared.
