Attempting to reach US audiences on your YouTube gaming channel
Hello! A friend of mine is creating small YouTube videos and asked for advice on the best time to make them public, targeting viewers in the US New York area. Should she choose a specific timezone before uploading or upload directly in her local timezone? Is 2:00 PM suitable? She understands how YouTube works and knows better than me what to do and what not to do—just a little guidance on time zones would be helpful. Thank you!
I doubt that there is any specific "good time" to make videos public etc..
We live in a 24/7 global world and gamers are just as likely to be on at one time as well as another.
Your friend should focus on producing quality content in an attractive well understood manner.
Make sure the content is finished, tested, and ready for public consumption. Then upload.
The timing will take care of itself.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
Does the timing of uploading really count? Whether you share the video immediately or store it on your device before posting, some platforms keep content for days if they prefer to stagger releases instead of flooding feeds with videos and then going silent for weeks.
It’s not similar to a live stream where viewers tune in at specific times.
Is it the optimal moment to post on YouTube? Hi, I’m experiencing low view counts, which suggests I’m in the Eastern Europe time zone. What’s the ideal time for uploading there? I’m considering night hours but am unsure about the best duration. Thanks and have a great day! forums.
