I own an Asus H170 pro gaming motherboard and when attempting to overclock my i5 6600k it caps itself at 39 on the core ratio. It never exceeds that limit. When I input 50 it returns to 39, but 35 causes it to drop to 35, confirming its behavior. It is currently set to 39 and remains there. I was aiming for 45 but can't reach it. Voltage is also set to auto.

A K cpu and a Z motherboard are needed to achieve overclocking. Previously, older Z mobos allowed this, but now it's fixed by Intel and Microsoft.
