I have a Dell G7 7790 (i7 9750H+1660Ti) with BIOS 1.23.0 and Windows 11, core isolation disabled. Running normally is causing excessive heat—temperatures are through the roof, similar to others who complain. After applying new thermal paste, everything seems clean inside. The main issue is accessing voltage settings in ThrottleStop; I see many videos showing people undervolting without their settings being saved or visible. Am I missing something important in the BIOS or is it due to the BIOS version and/or Windows 11? I just want to lower the temps before the laptop overheats, while still keeping performance stable. My 7700HQ works much better with a 1050Ti paired, which is surprising. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Share a screenshot of the FIVR window to verify your settings. On Windows 11, you must turn off Virtualization Based Security and core isolation memory integrity to let software reach the CPU voltage control register. Restart and remove the ThrottleStop.INI file afterward. More details at the provided links.

Share a screenshot of the FIVR window to verify your settings. On Windows 11, you must turn off Virtualization Based Security and core isolation memory integrity to let software reach the CPU voltage control register. Throttle stop might assist in this situation. Could you provide a screenshot to check if your BIOS isn't locked?

Don't worry about the Speedshift adjustments; I'm experimenting with them to observe temperature and score changes using Cinebench. Additionally, the Alienware Command Center is active, but stopping it requires completely removing it. It appears to control fan speeds and RGB lighting only.

Don't worry about the Speedshift adjustments; I'm experimenting with them to observe temperature and score changes using Cinebench. Additionally, the Alienware Command Center is active, but stopping it requires completely removing it. It appears to control fan speeds and RGB lighting only.

1. Puedes ajustar el multiplicador a 20 y observar cómo reacciona si la tensión de alimentación baja? No me gusta modificar directamente el Vcore, puedes reducirlo un poco y ver el resultado.
2. Generalmente puedes ir al panel de control y activar el plan de ahorro energético; es la forma más segura de hacer una reducción natural del voltaje.
3. Si quieres un enfoque más extremo, consulta la guía en español sobre ajustes de Vcore y sigue las instrucciones en inglés para traducirlo rápidamente.

I didn't place it there and it isn't activated. The only adjustment I can make is the speedstep setting. That's the main issue. Tapping anything else does nothing. I believe it's related to the BIOS version, and I'm attempting to revert to 1.9. After restoring factory settings on the BIOS, everything became unlocked in throttlestop.
