It might be /boot/efi, but I’m not sure where the developers placed it. You could check the r/pop_os community for more details. Alternatively, trying Ubuntu might work since it uses GRUB by default.

I located the files in pop_os-current. The stored contents include: title Pop!_OS linux, pop_os-94516b6e-4f5b-415b-a1ff-2bc78b82f3e7 vmlinuz.efi, initrd directory, root UUID, quiet log level, systemd status disabled, splash screen enabled.

I don't have direct access to your system's files. However, you can view the contents using a terminal command like `ls /boot` or `ls /boot/efi`. Let me know if you need help interpreting the results!

Create a file named surface.conf in /boot/efi/loader/entries. It should contain the specified configuration details.

No changes occurred during the restart, yet I revisited that folder and found this is where it stands.

I’m not confident about the next steps. Consider reaching out to a Linux-focused community, such as forum.level1techs.com, Reddit’s r/linux or r/linuxquestions, or linuxquestions.org for assistance.

Changed the default boot option to Grub2 in Ubuntu, but it didn’t help. Still no solution found.

Are you certain you're running the updated kernel? The command uname -a will confirm it. If it matches, double-check your expectations; otherwise, consult the developer. You might also test with Ubuntu to verify if the process works there and pinpoint any pop_os issues.
