Hello everyone, I recently increased the clock speed of my GTX 1060 Ti with a 3GB RAM. My friend warned me it might lead to even greater lag because my CPU (i5-2500) is already quite weak. I’m aware that this bottleneck reduces performance by around 20%. Does overclocking still make sense if the CPU is too limited for the GPU at its default settings, or does it actually worsen things?

No, the overclock won't help if your CPU is limiting your card's performance.
