Attempting overclock need help
I've attempted to increase my CPU's performance by enabling the overclock tuner in manual mode after a short period, but the PC restarted without providing power to connected devices. The screens went black and the keyboard stopped lighting up. My CPU model is i5-2500k, and I've installed a Cooler Master hyper 212 Evo cooler. I'm curious if anyone has encountered similar issues. After fully powering down and rebooting, power returned to the screens and keyboard, but a message appeared indicating an overclock failure. Please advise.
It seems you're experiencing an inconsistent overclock. Reset your CMOS and attempt again. Progressively increase the multiplier, restart, perform stress tests, and keep an eye on temperatures. Adjust one multiplier at a time. If instability arises, slightly increase the Vcore and continue until stability is achieved or performance limits are reached. High CPU temperatures may also be a factor.
