I'm trying to locate instructions for performing a basic factory reset on Alcatel-Lucent OS6250-P24 switches. The default console settings seem altered, making it hard to access them. I've confirmed the USB-RJ45 cable works with other gear, but the device only responds to pings at 192.168.1.2 without a web interface there. I'm looking for additional steps or alternatives from the hardware manual.

Yes, the cable you're using seems appropriate for your setup.

You're looking to establish a connection, so try using a USB-to-Com port device in Device Manager under Ports. Verify the COM port it's assigned to—such as COM3 or COM4—and use tools like PuTTY by selecting the serial port and entering the port you've set.
