I just assisted my friend in assembling his brand new PC (details below). The machine would unexpectedly shut down at times. Initially, I suspected the RAM or GPU might be faulty, so I swapped them around to test. Neither resolved the problem. I also attempted stress testing by running the GPU and CPU under heavy load to trigger a crash, but after testing, the PC remained stable. My friend successfully played multiple Overwatch matches and several dungeons in Final Fantasy 14 without issues. Most crashes seemed to happen when multiple applications were open or while adjusting graphics settings. We tried various fixes: re-seating components, removing the CPU and checking pins, running SFC scan, DISM, and CHKDSK. The PC parts listed include a high-end i5-13600K CPU, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4080, G.Skill Ripjaws S5 RAM, NZXT Kraken cooler, SeaSonic PSU, MSI Z790 motherboard, Samsung 980 Pro SSD, and other components.
