I focus mainly on PC gaming but run an Ark Survival Evolved server on an Xbox Series X for a few friends. The setup is fine, yet I need to switch it to an older Xbox model so the Series X stays free for other tasks because it performs better. I attempted to install Ark directly on the Xbox, assuming the saves were linked to my account, but they weren’t found. Then I uninstalled Ark from the device and tried using the Xbox settings to move the save files over your home network, but the saves still don’t appear. This is confusing, and I’m unsure what to do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You could remove both HDDs and move the Ark folder there—seems to be a viable option

Maybe, but I feel like there is an easier way. I believe the formatting is different for Xbox or something, so idk if my PC would even recognize it. You did generate an idea though. I could try to back up the game to an external SSD and manually transfer it to the X. But to my understanding, that is exactly what the network transfer should have done, so idk if that would even work. I mind as well try it though. The Xbox ecosystem is so closed off and annoying. I want my file explorer! lol
