Well, I removed the PSU and checked each pin. All of them worked as expected, which suggests it was already in the drawer without any reason. I reassembled everything using the correct cables for the new PSU, but nothing changed. I went through all my previous troubleshooting steps again, and still nothing. So, am I probably right about this? It might be time to replace the old one and get a new one.

This could be a simple question, but could PSU cables be faulty? I don’t remember why the 850w was in the box—it might have been because I thought it was dead, but it’s not. Could there be an issue with the 650, and swapping it for the new 850 work if my cable is bad?

You didn't attempt to connect the modular cables from the EVGA unit with your Corsair power supply, did you? That would be a major mistake. Although some cables might work between devices, you should absolutely avoid using modular cables from one PSU with another brand's PSU. Even if they're from the same brand, you must verify the pin configurations match exactly—often they don't—and ensure compatibility across generations or capacity differences.

This advice assumes you tried connecting the existing cables from the 650W PSU to the 850W unit. If not, there might be a problem with the cables themselves. The tutorial linked should guide you through testing each option. If you confirmed the power delivery at the end of the cable and everything functioned normally, then the issue likely lies elsewhere—probably a failing board. Considering its age, this is quite unexpected, especially after nine years of use.

No, it's not about reusing cables. The video you shared only displays the main motherboard cable, not the CPU or GPU ones, or their expected readings. Is this correct?
And yes, she's been my regular commuter since late 2015. It's a shame but honestly, that's a decent run.
