I've been having some freezing issues with my laptop ( ASUS GX551QM ) During boot and in use, and now I've been stuck attempting to boot for almost a week. When turning the system on, I get past the POST sound and sometimes to the auto repair screens, but most of the time the turning wheel just freezes. When i get to windows , it usually works for 2-10 Here are a list of things I've tried: +Removed Nvidia drivers and reinstalled -No change +Removed armoury crate , and later reinstalled -No change +Updated Bios to 408 -No Change +If it gets to the recovery screen, it will freeze when moving the mouse with the trackpad. If you use the Tab key you can get past it. But it still resets when trying to boot. +I let it sit in bios overnight. No freezes at all. +Got to recovery screen, other recovery options and went to reset while selecting keeping files and it froze. +Have tried other recovery options and it freezes before anything can be implemented. +Temps are low in bios, fans seem fine, but Dust was removed and device was allowed to fully cool. +Pulled RAM to run with onboard only. -No change. +Installed known working stick of ram -No Change. +Installed new SSD -No Change ( with clean windows install , done on a different , similar , machine ) Any help would be appreciated. It's been days of troubleshooting.
